The word "somatic" comes from the Greek word soma, meaning "the living body experienced from within."

‘Movement is what we are, not something we do.’ — Emilie Conrad

Somatic movement, or a somatic yoga means we cultivate internal focus and place deep attention on bodily sensations, breath, subtle, soft movements and stillness.

We develop and notice states of self-regulation. We can notice and inquire into places of tension and holding in our body, allow them to release and relax, and develop the capacity to support emotional healing.

Movements are gentle and intuitive, mindful, and adaptable to your needs in the moment.

We don’t strive to make a shape or posture. We are not focussing on "performance". We are experiencing and exploring, becoming somanauts.
